It is well known that waking up early is not the highlight of most people's days - on some days, myself included.
In the hopes of trying to understand why enthusiasm lacks for some of us each morning, I have found that there are multiple ways in which better turnarounds can be achieved - psychologically, palpably and fervidly. Lemony Snicket says, “Morning is an important time of day, because how you spend your morning can often tell you what kind of day you are going to have.”
Here are my 4 tips to help improve your morning's establishment of steadiness:
Go To Bed Early So You're Glad When You Hear Your Alarm In The Morning
You have the right idea getting about seven to eight hours of sleep every night. The key lies within going to bed at a respectable time. 10:00 p.m. is a safe bet.
Don't Check Your Phone First Thing In The Morning. Try a Few Push Ups and Crunches Instead
Checking our phones first thing in the morning can lead to distractions, and distractions can lead to wasting time.A lot of us are guilty of this. Instead, once you hear your alarm, turn it off, get out of bed immediately and increase your energy with some mild exercises. I do this every morning. It's not my favorite part of waking up but I feel good about starting the day so early almost immediately.
Put on some Jazz while You Shower, Brush Your Teeth and Clothe Accordingly
Frank Sinatra is sure to put you in an instant mood that'll inspire you to get yourday started. Make sure you're not in the bathroom for too long chained to the comfort of the hot water you'll be covered in. I time myself by song durations. It should not take you more than two songs to shower, or brush your teeth.
Have a Glass of Water or a Cup of Hot Tea While You Visualize Your Day
It is very important to stay hydrated starting from the beginning of your day. Enjoy a cup of hot tea or two glasses of water as you visualize and skim through your schedule for the day. The liquids are sure to enhance mental activity which is a great step as it pertains to working through the day.
