Until Next Summer: Seaport District, New York

It has been a few summers since the Seaport District became a staple in New York City for the summer season. For those who are not familiar, think cobble stone streets, a variety of restaurants, small shops, and an ambiance that is made of people from all walks of life.
The Seaport District is not just about food or tourism, the vibrant atmosphere plays a gigantic role in why it has been so successful.
My first experience in the Seaport District was a dinner and drinks party with five friends at the district's Food Lab and Garden bar courtesy of Tasting Table. Currently craving the olive oil cake as I type this - the taste of Navel orange, creek fraiche ice cream & caviar sounds delightful right now.
Just like the olive oil cake I devoured at the Food Lab, I loved everything about the district on the first experience. The summer aura, the waters, the night time breeze, the flowing champagne, and the high energy of the people who made a conscious choice to spend their time there. There's nothing not to love about what the district offers.
The summer season makes the district so rich in character, and a lot of people still don't know about it yet. Perhaps, one of the best examples of why New York is one of the greatest cities in the world.
