The Most Cautious Ways To Use Color This Spring

Detail in color and texture is very crucial to much needed visual stimulation when it comes to my menswear ideals. It introduces excitement as well as the look of a well rounded wardrobe. If that statement sounds familiar, you probably read this post at the beginning of the year. As we transition into the spring season, I stand by it.
Surely, wearing more color has become one of my many joys of getting dressed every morning whether it be with socks, sweaters, scarves or jackets. I've noted that the key to successfully pulling off a colorful look lies with finding a color balance.
One way of doing this is by using color as an accent - because all you're doing is handing out a slight momentary view of it. This handout typically works well with accessories. Think pocket squares, ties, or socks. Probably the most cautious way.
Another way, is using a bold color as a statement piece to compliment other pieces with. Take the pink chinos I am featuring in the look above, for example. This item has a tendency to be a bit shouty and can serve as a bit of a distraction no matter where you go. However, when paired with lower saturated colors like the slightly muted blues in the shoes, socks and hooded sweater, the pop of color softens and the entire palette reads a bit more even handed and cultured.
