Like any other apartment owner, I have a prospering list of possessions I would love to include in my apartment to make it feel more attractive and personal. I use the word prospering because as people, our interests are a working progress.

Inherently, there is something gladdening about walking into your home and feeling like it has a favorable impression of who you are, and what sparks excitement within you as a person. Design aesthetics are essential. That is, in addition to wanting things to look conducive enough to accommodate guests after a night out or for a TV Show watch party you're hosting.

If you're looking to minimal ways to update detailing in your apartment, here's some help inspired by Philip Mitchell's 2018 Kips Bay Showcase to stir you in the right direction:

1. The Velvet Sofa with Sink In Cushions

It pays off to be particular about your furniture. Specifically designed for providing amusement and entertainment, it is more than sound to say that the product is well worth the investment for the home. It's convenient, it's comfortable, and amusing in a way that showcases an obliging attention to detail. The texture, and feel of a velvet sofa always seems to be the surprise factor for most people when put to use, and the reaction alone justifies the procuring of the upholstered seat. Taking into consideration the amount of time you'll be spending watching TV show marathons on Netflix all day, you'll be thankful you opted for this sofa.

2. A Collection of Coffee Table Books

For years, adorning spaces with coffee table books has proven to be one of the biggest interior design trends and it's not going anywhere anytime soon. The coffee table books to utilize in your space should reflect your interests, curiosities and passions. It comes in handy when you have guests over asking about the books - that way, it's easy to discuss or reference.

3. A Plethora of Throw Pillows

Switch out your plain throw pillows for coordinated luxury pillows with great detail in color, design, and polish. More of everything: color, print, and silhouette. They add an element of excitement, and spontaneity to your home.

4. A Collection of Artwork

Having a collection of appealing art is definitely not something you have to have in your home, but if it aligns with your taste, instant glamour is added to your space. Everything will appear to be much more attractive, cohesive, and eclectic in quality.

5. A Bouquet of Flowers

I am very particular about smell everywhere I go because I feel it's the extra detail that balances everything out. It's one of the first things people notice no matter what they're engaging in, so make it a good one. They don't have to be designed to be over the top, they can just be taken care of naturally, and consistently in a well designed vessel.
